A Day in the Life
Just another day in paradise
7 am
The sun peeks over the mountains as you roll out of bed, make yourself a cup of coffee and head to the terrace. You take in the ocean breezes and rolling waves, as far as the eye can see. What to do today? A plan formulates, so you pack a bag, strap your surfboard to the car, and head down the road to La Boca, a fun little sandbar with waves peeling in every direction.
12 noon
Surfing fuels a powerful appetite, so you head to town for a late morning brunch of perfectly cooked eggs, peppers, hand pressed corn tortillas, and more coffee at Café Indigo. Then it’s back to the villa to read a book and nap in your hammock.
3 pm
Friends stop by, so you stroll to Mirador Hilltop Residents’ Club to catch up over cocktails, poolside. From this vantage point, you can view the full expanse of the horizon, where sea meets sky. As day becomes night, the clear blue skyline gives way to a stunning show of reds, orange, and pinks.
7 pm
As night falls, you head into town to Cristina’s, where the wood-fired comal is cooking up handmade tacos al pastor, served with freshly made salsas, guacamole, and cold cervezas. Maybe you make a second stop at one of Troncones’ lively cocktail lounges for a nightcap and live music, or to join friends on the dance floor.
11 pm
Back at the villa you settle in for the night, dreaming about tomorrow’s adventure. Will it be horseback riding on the beach? Kayaking the inland estuaries? Sunrise yoga? Sailing? Tidepooling and snorkeling? Shopping and dining in Troncones? There are as many possibilities as there are days of the year.
Or maybe you will never leave the villa. It could be a perfect day to lounge on the terrace and finish that book.
